Quickstart Guide

Follow the two easy steps below to start watching 🍿. If you get stuck or have any questions, just reach out to steve@blackcouchtv.com.

step 1

☝️ Donate & Create a "Plex" account​

NOTE: The following only applies if you're new to BlackCouchTV/Plex. If you're a returning user, you only need to donate and access should be restored automatically.

  1. Donate to BlackCouchTV. Monthly payments are managed by Stripe; cancel anytime.
    • IMPORTANT: use the same email for both Stripe and Plex
  2. Shortly after donating, you should receive an email from noreply@plex.tv.
  3. Click the "I accept the invitation" link in the email and then follow the instructions to sign in, or create a new Plex account.

step 2

✌️ Install Plex & Start watching​

  1. Install the “Plex” app from your TV/Streaming device app store.
    • all major platforms are supported (iOS, Roku, Samsung/LG, Google, Fire TV, Android, etc.)
  2. Open the Plex app, login with the Plex account you created (from Step 1), and start watching 😎.

What's next?
  1. Add more shows & movies to the library: visit request.blackcouchtv.com and login with your Plex account.
  2. Add the content request app to your iPhone or Android phone.
